In preparation for the blended mobility run for PhD students, the research spectrum of the potential host universities (or host faculties) was created by the Programme and Partner Countries universities. The information collected became part of the call for applications for PhD students, allowing them to apply to certain universities for future collaboration. In order to simplify the application and selection processes, the basic Research Field Classification has been developed (not least using the classification units of ISCED Fields of Education and Training) and incorporated into the electronic application form, where PhD students could automatically select their own and desired research fields.
