Assumptions:
- Methodological recommendations address needs of all students’ mobility programs participants.
- All conferences, seminars and other meeting dedicated to methodology verification and improvement are held on time and involve the planned number of participants.
Risks:
- In the course of verification of methodology some conflicting visions arise that are hard to reconcile.
- Due to insufficient input from some students’ mobility program participants, developed methodology fails to fully address all necessary aspects.
DESCRIPTION:
This WP will extend over most of the project’s lifetime focusing on collection and calibration of good / best practices at the PC institutions for facilitation, organization, and supervision of students’ mobility initiatives from the perspective of teaching and administrative staff, ministries responsible for HE and students inclined to participate in students’ mobility runs.
Previous experience in the field of students’ mobility, observations in the course of the project, feedback from all project participants and developed sustainability plan will be incorporated to furnish methodological recommendations.
These include preparing materials, guiding virtual students’ mobility runs (for teaching staff), organizing and maintaining the process of internationalization (for administrative staff), initiating future programs on a national/regional/international level (for the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and for the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of Serbia), better preparing and adapting to international students’ mobility runs (for students of HEIs). In addition, the universities strive for preparing long-term bilateral partnerships on institute’s or faculty level thanks to an initiative made within DEV (6.6) and mobilisation of existing cooperation with other HEIs.
Maximum possible detachment from a specific field of knowledge will be strived for in the development of methodology. “Train the trainer” questions (knowledge transfer) of interest to teaching staff, insights into students’ mobility management either via International Relations Office or Students’ Mobility Office will be incorporated in the methodology. Special emphasis will be made on participation of disabled or otherwise impaired or deprived students in mobility runs. Results of blended mobility runs of PhD students will also be included. The developed methodology will also include aspects of special importance to the ministries , i.e. analysis of qualitative and quantitative students’ mobility results indicators.
So, within WP 4, five events (DEVs 4.2.1, 4.2.2, 4.2.3, 4.2.4, 4.2.5) take place that coach PCs representatives in the course of exchange, but also consider their feedback. These exchanges are planned as conferences to discuss and exchange ideas that point towards country-specific methodologies. These five events are managed by EU representatives.
The final methodology is made available to all participating institutions as framework for virtual, real and blended mobility runs and might also be accessed by other universities from Ukraine and Serbia to learn from MILETUS project experiences.
